Dryer Repair Service
When your dryer stops heating, takes too long to dry clothes, makes noise, smells burnt, or will not start, the real problem is not always obvious. Sometimes it is a heating element, thermal fuse, igniter, gas valve coil, motor, belt, roller, idler pulley, moisture sensor, control board, or restricted airflow.
EasyFix checks the real cause first. We do not replace parts just because they are common or easy to sell. We inspect the dryer, explain what failed, give you the price before the repair, and fix what actually makes sense.
We also document real repairs, not just promises. You can see actual appliance repair cases in our EasyFix repair blog, including dryer, washer, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and other appliance repairs completed in local homes.
Not sure what appliance repair may cost? Read our pricing guide: EasyFix appliance repair prices. It explains our service call, labor, parts, and how we decide whether a repair makes sense before the work begins.
We provide dryer repair across Clark & Cowlitz Counties and the Portland Metro Area, including Vancouver, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Camas, Washougal, Woodland, Longview, Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, and nearby areas.
Service Call Fee: $110. If the repair is approved, the service call is applied toward the repair.

See How We Actually Repair Dryers
We do not want this page to sound like every other dryer repair page on the internet. EasyFix publishes real repair cases with photos, symptoms, diagnosis, parts, and what was actually done in the customer’s home.
If your dryer is not heating, taking too long to dry, making noise, smelling burnt, or not tumbling, these real cases can help you understand how we approach the repair before you even call.
- LG dryer not drying because of a blocked motor area
A real LG dryer repair where the dryer was running but not drying properly. The issue was not the first part most people would guess — a sock had blocked the motor area and had to be found during inspection. - GE dryer making a loud squealing noise
This case shows why dryer noise should not be ignored. We inspected the moving parts, confirmed the source of the squealing, and completed the repair in one visit. - Samsung dryer not heating with OEM heating element replacement
A common dryer problem, but not something to guess on. We confirmed the no-heat failure, replaced the correct heating component with an OEM part, and tested the dryer after the repair. - GE dryer repaired with an OEM drive belt
A real dryer repair where the problem involved noise, internal wear, and a stretched drive belt. The dryer was inspected, cleaned, repaired with the correct OEM belt, and tested before completion.

Dryer Repair — Common Questions
1. How much does dryer repair cost?
The service call is $110, and it covers the visit and diagnosis. This fee is for finding the real problem, not for the repair itself.
If you approve the repair, the $110 service call is applied toward the repair price. For many common dryer repairs, labor usually starts from our minimum billable labor rate of $220.
Parts, shipping or pickup cost, and sales tax may be added depending on the model and failure. You can also read our EasyFix appliance repair prices page to see how we explain service call, labor, parts, and repair approval.2. Can you estimate dryer repair by photos and model number?
In many cases, yes. If you send us the dryer brand, model number, photos, and a clear description of the problem, we can often give you a rough estimate before the visit.
This helps us understand the issue, check parts availability, and sometimes arrive with the right part already prepared.
The final price is confirmed after inspection because similar symptoms can have different causes. For example, a dryer that is not heating may have a bad heating element, thermal fuse, igniter, gas valve coil, sensor, control board, or airflow issue.3. Do you warranty your dryer repairs?
Yes. We provide a 90-day warranty on labor and the parts we install.
If the same dryer issue returns within that period, we will come back and check it under the warranty terms.
The warranty covers the original repair, not a new or unrelated problem that appears later.4. Is it worth repairing a dryer?
In many cases, yes. If the dryer is in decent condition and the failure is limited to one repairable part, repair often makes more sense than replacing the whole unit.
The main question is not only the repair price. The real question is whether the dryer is still in good condition and likely to keep working after the repair.
You can also read our guide: Is it worth repairing or replacing your appliance?5. Why is my dryer not heating?
A dryer may stop heating because of a failed heating element, thermal fuse, thermostat, igniter, gas valve coil, flame sensor, control board, or airflow restriction.
We check the heating system and airflow before recommending parts, because replacing one common part without diagnosis can waste money.
For more details, read our guide: Why is my dryer not heating?6. Why is my dryer taking too long to dry clothes?
Long dry times can come from a restricted vent, clogged lint path, weak heating, poor airflow, moisture sensor issue, overloaded drum, or a problem inside the dryer itself.
Sometimes the dryer is heating, but the air cannot move properly. That is why airflow and vent condition should be checked along with the dryer.
Long dry times can also be related to airflow and vent restriction. We explain this more here: back pressure on a dryer vent.7. Why is my dryer making a squeaking, grinding, or rumbling noise?
Dryer noise can come from worn drum rollers, a bad idler pulley, a stretched belt, motor bearings, blower wheel problems, or something stuck inside the machine.
We inspect the moving parts before replacing anything, because different noises can sound similar but come from different areas.8. Why does my dryer smell burnt?
A burning smell can come from lint buildup, overheating, a worn belt, motor issue, electrical problem, or restricted airflow.
If your dryer smells burnt, it is better to stop using it until it is checked.
We inspect the dryer and airflow path to find the real source of the smell.9. Why is my dryer not tumbling?
If the dryer runs but the drum does not turn, the problem may be a broken belt, bad idler pulley, worn rollers, motor issue, door switch problem, or control issue.
We check the drum movement, belt system, motor operation, and safety switches before giving a repair recommendation.10. Can I see real dryer repair cases before scheduling?
Yes. EasyFix publishes real appliance repair cases with photos, symptoms, diagnosis, parts, and repair details.
You can see real dryer repair examples in our EasyFix repair blog, including an LG dryer not drying case, a Samsung dryer not heating repair, and a GE dryer belt repair.
We use real cases because photos and repair details say more than marketing promises.11. Do you provide dryer repair in Vancouver, WA?

Not always. Some cities are part of our regular daily route, while others are scheduled by route and job type.
The fastest way to confirm availability is to send the dryer model number, symptoms, and a few photos. This helps us understand the job before the visit, check possible parts, and avoid unnecessary delays.
