Common Appliance Repair Questions We Hear Most Often
Before scheduling a repair, here are clear answers about pricing, service calls, online estimates, in-person diagnosis, warranty, parts, brands, and the areas we serve.
1. How much does appliance repair cost?
The service call is $110, and it covers the visit and diagnosis. This fee is for finding the problem, not for the repair itself.
If you move forward with the repair estimate, you do not pay the service call as a separate extra charge — the $110 is credited toward the repair.
So, the repair price itself usually comes down to labor and parts. For many common appliance repairs, labor is typically $220. Parts vary by appliance, model, and failure. Some common parts may be around $75, but the price can be higher or lower.2. Can you estimate the repair online by photos and model number?
In many cases, yes. If you send us the appliance brand, model number, photos, and a clear description of the problem, we can often give you a rough estimate before the visit.
This helps us understand the issue, check parts availability, and sometimes prepare better before scheduling.
The final price is confirmed after in-person inspection because similar symptoms can have different causes.
3. Do you provide an in-person repair estimate?
Yes. During the service call, we inspect the appliance, diagnose the issue, and give you a repair estimate before starting the work.
The estimate usually includes labor, parts, and any needed shipping or special-order cost.
We do not like surprise pricing. If the repair does not make sense, we will tell you that before moving forward.
4. Do you warranty your appliance repairs?
Yes. We provide a 90-day warranty on both labor and the parts we install.
If the same issue returns within that period, we will come back and check it under the warranty terms.
The warranty applies to the repair we performed and the parts we installed. It does not cover a different failure, a new problem, or issues caused by plumbing, electrical supply, misuse, or pre-existing conditions outside the appliance repair.
5. Is the service call included if I approve the repair?
Yes. If you approve the repair, the $110 service call is credited toward the repair total.
If you decide not to repair the appliance, the service call remains due because the visit, diagnosis, and estimate have already been completed.
6. Why do you charge for diagnosis?
Diagnosis takes time, travel, tools, experience, and inspection. Appliance problems are not always obvious from the outside.
For example, a refrigerator that is not cooling may have a fan issue, defrost failure, control board problem, sealed system issue, dirty condenser, airflow restriction, or another cause.
The diagnosis is the part that tells us what actually failed.

Because our route changes from day to day, availability may depend on your exact location and the schedule for that day.
10. Do you service Portland Metro and nearby Oregon areas?

Some Oregon appointments depend on route availability, appliance type, distance, traffic, and whether we can prepare properly before the visit.
The easiest way to check is to call or text us at (360) 800-6621 and send your city or ZIP code, appliance brand, model number, photos, and a short description of the problem.
11. What appliances do you repair?
We repair most major home appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, stoves, cooktops, and built-in appliances.
Common calls include refrigerator not cooling, washer not draining, dryer not heating, dishwasher not draining, oven not heating, stove burner not working, and appliance error codes.
12. Do you repair refrigerators?
Yes. Refrigerator repair is one of the most common services we provide.
We work on refrigerators that are not cooling, leaking, freezing food, making noise, building frost, showing error codes, or having ice maker problems.
Because refrigerator symptoms can look similar from the outside, proper diagnosis is important before replacing parts.
13. Do you repair washers and dryers?
Yes. We repair washers and dryers with problems such as not draining, not spinning, not heating, shaking, leaking, loud noise, door lock issues, and error codes.
For laundry appliances, the model number and a short video of the issue can be very helpful before scheduling.
14. Do you repair dishwashers?
Yes. We repair dishwashers that are not draining, not washing properly, leaking, not heating, not starting, showing error codes, or making unusual noises.
Dishwasher problems may come from the drain pump, circulation pump, heater, water valve, door latch, control board, drain hose, or installation-related issues.
15. Do you repair ovens, stoves, ranges, and cooktops?
Yes. We repair electric ovens, ranges, stoves, wall ovens, and cooktops.
Common problems include no heat, uneven heating, burners not working, failed elements, bad igniters, error codes, and control board problems.
For gas appliances, we can diagnose and replace appliance components, but we do not perform gas line plumbing work.
16. What brands do you service?
We service most major appliance brands, including Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Frigidaire, GE, Bosch, Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Thermador, Viking, Sub-Zero, Wolf, JennAir, and many others.
Brand alone is not enough for an accurate estimate. The model number helps us check the correct parts and understand the appliance design before the visit.
17. Do you work on high-end and built-in appliances?
Yes. We work on many standard and high-end appliances, including built-in refrigerators, wall ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, and laundry appliances.
For high-end and built-in appliances, the model number is especially important because parts, access, and repair procedures can be very different from one model to another.
18. Do you use OEM parts?
When possible, yes. We prefer OEM parts because they are made for the exact appliance model and usually provide the best repair result.
Sometimes an alternative part may be available, but we will explain the difference before using it.
We do not install random parts just to make the repair look cheaper.
19. Do you bring parts with you?
We bring common parts when the issue is clear enough before the visit.
That is why photos, the model number, and a good description are helpful. In some cases, we can check parts availability before scheduling.
But no technician can carry every part for every appliance brand and model. If a special-order part is needed, we will identify it, check availability, and give you the estimate before ordering.
20. Can you repair my appliance the same day?
Sometimes, yes. Same-day appliance repair depends on the schedule, your location, the appliance type, and whether the needed part is available.
If the repair requires a special-order part, we will explain that before moving forward.
We do not pretend that every repair can be finished immediately. Some repairs can be done the same day, and some require ordering the correct part.21. Should I repair or replace my appliance?
It depends on the appliance age, condition, repair cost, and what failed.
A simple part failure on a good appliance often makes sense to repair. Multiple failures in a short period may be a sign that replacement is the better choice.
We explain this honestly after diagnosis. The goal is not to push every customer into repair. The goal is to tell you what makes sense.22. Do you repair older appliances?
Sometimes, yes. Older appliances can be worth repairing, especially if they are well built and the parts are still available.
The main question is not just age. The real question is whether the appliance is still in good condition and whether the repair cost makes sense compared to replacement.23. What information should I send before scheduling?
The best information to send is the appliance type, brand, model number, photos, and a clear description of the problem.
For example: “Whirlpool refrigerator, model number WRF…, freezer is cold but fresh food section is warm.”
That kind of information helps us understand the issue faster and sometimes prepare parts before the visit.24. Where do I find the appliance model number?
The model number is usually on a sticker or metal tag.
On refrigerators, it is often inside the fresh food section. On dishwashers, it is usually on the door frame. On washers and dryers, it may be around the door opening or on the back panel. On ovens and ranges, it may be around the frame, drawer area, or inside the door area.
If you cannot find it, send us photos of the appliance and we can help you look in the right place.25. Do you work with home warranty companies or insurance?
We do not bill home warranty companies or insurance companies directly. We work directly with the customer.
If you need documentation for reimbursement, we can provide a receipt, diagnosis, repair details, and parts information so you can submit it on your side.26. Do you do electrical, plumbing, or gas line work?
No. We repair appliances.
We do not perform home electrical wiring, plumbing, water line installation, drain line replacement, or gas line plumbing work.
If an appliance problem is caused by the house electrical supply, plumbing, water supply, drain, or gas line, we will explain what we found and recommend the proper next step.27. How does the repair process work?
First, you contact us and describe the appliance problem.
Then we ask for the model number, photos, and any useful details. If possible, we may give you a rough online estimate before the visit.
During the service call, we inspect the appliance, diagnose the issue, and give you a repair estimate. If you approve the repair, the service call is credited toward the repair total.
If parts are needed, we check availability and explain the next step before ordering.28. Why should I choose EasyFix?
Because we keep appliance repair simple, clear, and honest.
We diagnose the problem, explain what failed, give the repair price before moving forward, and tell you when the repair does not make sense.
No upsells. No nonsense. Just honest work.29. How do I schedule appliance repair?
You can call or text EasyFix at (360) 800-6621 or send a request through our website.
If possible, include the appliance brand, model number, photos, and a short description of the issue.
The more information we have before the visit, the better we can prepare.
