Appliance Repair Prices: Real EasyFix Repair Examples

Updated for 2026: This page uses real EasyFix repair records from Washington and Oregon to show how appliance repair prices are calculated – including parts, labor, shipping when needed, applicable tax, and final totals.

Real appliance repair is not one flat price. A dryer that is not heating may be a straightforward heating element repair. A refrigerator leaking water may only need a drain line cleaning. But a refrigerator that is not cooling may involve sealed-system work. A gas range with clicking and gas smell needs a different level of attention than a simple knob issue.

That is why we do not advertise unrealistically low “repair starting at $79” prices just to make the phone ring. Very low advertised prices may look good online, but they often do not explain parts, labor, access, tax, or what actually failed.

At EasyFix, our service call fee is $110. If the repair is approved, that fee is applied toward the repair. Many standard repairs use a labor line around $220, but more involved jobs may cost more because of access, built-in installation, gas work, sealed-system work, or premium appliance complexity.

Important note about sales tax: Washington repair examples include applicable sales tax where required. Oregon does not have sales tax, so Oregon examples are shown without sales tax.

The point of this page is not to scare you with numbers. The point is to show how real appliance repair pricing is built: part, labor, shipping if needed, tax where required, and the final total before approval.

EasyFix provides appliance repair pricing examples from real jobs in Vancouver, Ridgefield, Woodland, La Center, Camas, Portland, Beaverton, King City, Kalama, and nearby areas.

Sales tax: $64.59
Total: $806.99

What this shows:
Sealed-system refrigerator repairs are in a different price category. This type of repair involves refrigerant work, welding materials, sealed-system components, leak repair, and testing – not just a simple part swap.

Labor: $320.00
Total: $864.80

Premium brands like Sub-Zero often cost more to repair because parts are more expensive and the ice/water system may involve more than one component. This Oregon example is shown without sales tax.

Built-In Cooktop Example: KitchenAid Cooktop – Kalama, WA – $996.26

Record: #2468 – Jan 2026

Labor: $320.00
Subtotal: $916.52
Sales tax: $79.74
Total: $996.26

What this shows:
This was not a basic burner switch repair. Built-in cooktop repairs can be expensive because the failed part may be an exclusive electronic touch-control component, not a simple mechanical burner part. Access and installation are also more involved than on a freestanding appliance.

Premium Example: Liebherr Refrigerator / Freezer – Portland, OR – $1,212.09

Record: #2454 – Jan 2026
Model: Liebherr CS2060
Problem: premium refrigerator/freezer cooling issue.
Repair: evaporator-related sealed-system repair, refrigerant work, welding, and labor.

Price structure:
Part: Liebherr refrigerator evaporator 594412500 – $646.71
Refill refrigerant and welding work: $342.40
Shipping: $26.00
Subtotal before labor: $1,015.11
Labor: $500.00
Subtotal: $1,515.11
Discount: $303.02
Total: $1,212.09

What this shows:
Premium sealed-system refrigerator repairs can cost significantly more. Parts are expensive, diagnosis is more complex, and the repair requires technical refrigerant work. This Oregon example is shown without sales tax.

Why Appliance Repair Prices Vary

Two customers can call with the same complaint, but the final repair price can be completely different. “Not cooling,” “not heating,” “not draining,” or “making noise” are symptoms, not diagnoses.

The price can change because of:

  • appliance brand and model;
  • OEM part cost;
  • built-in or freestanding design;
  • access difficulty;
  • shipping and part availability;
  • sealed-system, gas, or high-voltage work;
  • premium-brand parts;
  • multiple failed parts at the same time.

This is why we diagnose first, explain what failed, and give a clear price before starting the repair.

What We Do Not Do

We do not advertise unrealistically low prices just to make the phone ring.
We do not promise that every repair will be cheap.
We do not replace expensive parts just because they are easy to sell.
We do not hide the real cost until the end.

If the repair makes sense, we explain why. If the appliance is not worth repairing, we say that too.

Our Simple Pricing Approach

  • Service call: $110
  • Applied toward repair: yes, when the repair is approved
  • Standard labor: often starts around $220
  • Parts: quoted before approval
  • Shipping: added only when needed
  • Tax: applied where required
  • Estimate: given before repair

Sealed-system refrigerator repairs are more expensive because they involve refrigerant work, leak repair, welding or brazing materials, sealed-system components, vacuum/testing procedures, and more technical labor than a basic part replacement. Why do appliance repair prices vary so much?

Can I get an appliance repair estimate by sending photos and the model number?

Often, yes. Clear photos, the model number, and a short description of the problem can help EasyFix understand the likely repair direction before the visit. A final diagnosis still has to be done in person.

Is it worth repairing my appliance or should I replace it?

It depends on the appliance age, condition, brand, repair cost, and whether the failure is isolated or part of repeated problems. EasyFix can help compare the likely repair direction with replacement cost before the customer approves the repair.

How much is the EasyFix service call fee?

The EasyFix service call fee is $110. If the repair is approved, the service call fee is applied toward the repair.

Is labor always $220?

No. Many standard EasyFix repairs use a labor line around $220, but more complex repairs can cost more. Built-in appliances, gas work, sealed-system refrigerator repairs, premium brands, difficult access, and more involved diagnostics can increase labor cost.

Are parts included in the labor price?

No. Parts are separate from labor. The final estimate can include parts, labor, shipping if needed, and applicable tax. EasyFix shows the estimate before the repair is approved.

Do Oregon repair examples include sales tax?

No. Oregon does not have sales tax. Washington repair examples include applicable sales tax where required.
