Oven Repair Service
When your oven stops heating, overheats, does not hold the right temperature, shows an error code, will not turn on, or cooks unevenly, the real problem is not always obvious. Sometimes it is a bake element, broil element, temperature sensor, igniter, control board, relay, wiring issue, door switch, cooling fan, or another internal failure.
EasyFix checks the real cause first. We do not replace parts just because they are common or easy to sell. We inspect the oven, explain what failed, give you the price before the repair, and fix what actually makes sense.
We also document real repairs, not just promises. You can see actual appliance repair cases in our EasyFix repair blog, including oven, range, cooktop, dryer, washer, refrigerator, dishwasher, and other appliance repairs completed in local homes.
Not sure what appliance repair may cost? Read our pricing guide: EasyFix appliance repair prices. It explains our service call, labor, parts, and how we decide whether a repair makes sense before the work begins.
We provide oven repair across Clark & Cowlitz Counties and the Portland Metro Area, including Vancouver, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Camas, Washougal, Woodland, Longview, Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, and nearby areas.
Service Call Fee: $110. If the repair is approved, the service call is applied toward the repair.

Oven Repair — Common Questions
1. How much does oven repair cost?
The service call is $110, and it covers the visit and diagnosis. This fee is for finding the real problem, not for the repair itself.
If you approve the repair, the $110 service call is applied toward the repair price. For many common oven repairs, labor usually starts from our minimum billable labor rate of $220.
Parts, shipping or pickup cost, and sales tax may be added depending on the model and failure. You can also read our EasyFix appliance repair prices page to see how we explain service call, labor, parts, and repair approval.2. Can you estimate oven repair by photos and model number?
In many cases, yes. If you send us the oven brand, model number, photos, and a clear description of the problem, we can often give you a rough estimate before the visit.
This helps us understand the issue, check parts availability, and sometimes arrive with the right part already prepared.
The final price is confirmed after inspection because similar symptoms can have different causes. For example, an oven that is not heating may have a bad bake element, broil element, igniter, temperature sensor, relay, control board, wiring issue, or airflow/cooling fan problem.3. Do you warranty your oven repairs?
Yes. We provide a 90-day warranty on labor and the parts we install.
If the same oven issue returns within that period, we will come back and check it under the warranty terms.
The warranty covers the original repair, not a new or unrelated problem that appears later.4. Is it worth repairing an oven?
In many cases, yes. If the oven is in decent condition and the failure is limited to one repairable part, repair often makes more sense than replacing the whole appliance.
The main question is not only the repair price. The real question is whether the oven is still in good condition and likely to keep working after the repair.
You can also read our guide: Is it worth repairing or replacing your appliance?5. Why is my oven not heating?
An oven may stop heating because of a failed bake element, broil element, igniter, temperature sensor, thermostat, relay board, control board, wiring issue, or power supply problem.
We check the heating system before recommending parts, because replacing one common part without diagnosis can waste money.6. Why is my oven overheating?
An oven may overheat because of a bad temperature sensor, control board issue, stuck relay, damaged thermostat, wiring problem, or a failure in the oven’s temperature control system.
If your oven overheats, it is better to stop using it until it is checked. Overheating can damage food, cookware, internal parts, and surrounding components.7. Why is my oven temperature wrong?
If the oven temperature is too low, too high, or keeps changing, the problem may be a temperature sensor, calibration issue, control board problem, weak heating element, igniter issue, door seal problem, or airflow issue inside the oven cavity.
We check the actual heating behavior instead of guessing from the display alone.8. Why is my food coming out burnt or undercooked?
Burnt or undercooked food can happen when the oven does not hold the right temperature, heats unevenly, has a weak bake element, bad sensor, faulty control, poor door seal, or fan problem.
Sometimes the oven looks like it is working, but the temperature inside does not match what the control panel says.9. Why is my gas oven not igniting?
A gas oven may not ignite because of a weak igniter, failed safety valve, wiring issue, control problem, or gas supply issue.
If you smell gas, stop using the appliance, leave the area, and contact your gas utility or emergency service first. We can inspect the oven only after the area is safe.10. Why is my oven door not closing properly?
An oven door may not close properly because of worn hinges, damaged springs, bent door parts, a bad gasket, or a problem with the door latch system.
A door that does not seal correctly can cause heat loss, long cooking times, temperature problems, and damage to nearby controls or cabinets.11. Why is my oven showing an error code?
Oven error codes can point to problems with the temperature sensor, control board, keypad, door lock, cooling fan, wiring, or heating system.
The code is useful, but it is not the full diagnosis. We still inspect the oven and confirm what actually failed before recommending a repair.12. Can I see real oven repair cases before scheduling?
Yes. EasyFix publishes real appliance repair cases with photos, symptoms, diagnosis, parts, and repair details.
You can see real oven repair examples in our EasyFix repair blog, including a ZLINE oven not heating properly and a Kenmore oven not heating, sparking, and smoking.
We use real cases because photos and repair details say more than marketing promises.13. Do you provide oven repair in Vancouver, WA?

Yes. EasyFix provides oven repair in Beaverton, OR, Tigard, OR, Lake Oswego, OR, and nearby Portland Metro areas.
Because these are busy service markets, we recommend sending the model number, photos, and symptoms before the visit. This helps us check the issue, possible parts, and whether the repair makes sense.18. Is service availability the same in every city?
Not always. Some cities are part of our regular daily route, while others are scheduled by route and job type.
The fastest way to confirm availability is to send the oven model number, symptoms, and a few photos. This helps us understand the job before the visit, check possible parts, and avoid unnecessary delays.
