In Vancouver, WA a customer reported an intermittent sharp whistling noise from a Frigidaire LGHD2369TF8. The sound seemed to come from the bottom and would come and go. We handle cases like this every week across Vancouver and nearby areas with same-day response.
Diagnosis
We arrived the next day and ran test mode. We checked each component separately. The culprit was the condenser fan motor – a worn bearing squealed under load. The door heater loop felt too warm, which points to weak condenser cooling and rising system pressure. If the condenser fan does not move air, the compressor runs hot and overall system life drops. More about similar issues is covered on our refrigerator repair page.
Owner tip: an on-and-off whistle or squeak usually comes from moving parts – condenser fan, evaporator fan, or a loose blade. If the door heater area runs hot at the same time, start by checking the condenser fan. Repair
This was a rental, so we got phone approval from the landlord’s office. The Marcone parts store is close, so we were back in about 20 minutes with an OEM Electrolux / Frigidaire 242018301. We installed the new motor, secured wiring and blade, and verified airflow. If you want honest, same-day work with OEM parts only, start here: contact us or check the FAQ.
Result
After replacement the freezer stabilized at 0°F and the fresh food section at 40°F. The noise is gone and cooling is steady. Browse more real repair stories in our blog or see the full coverage list in Service Areas.
